Our Courses

Supporting People With Autism

This training course will equip care workers, support workers and other healthcare workers to understand autism, respond effectively and implement support strategies within the support work framework. Autism is a lifelong disability which affects the ability of a person to think, feel, socialise, interact with others, and experience the environment. It is a disability that differs from person to person, and is often linked with physical, developmental and mental health conditions such as ADHD, epilepsy and intellectual disability.

Participants will have an opportunity to practice their skills during the training session, and will be encouraged to ask questions. A certificate of attendance is issued to all participants upon successful completion of the training.
