About the position:
We’re looking for Registered Nurse trainers who can deliver the training to small groups of care and support workers, and are currently in practice and deeply passionate about training. A casual position with variable days of the week is available for someone who is reliable, can preserve confidentiality, and can commit to delivering the training session. The salary is dependent on years of experience and credentials and is negotiable. It is a requirement of this position that extensive background checks are conducted, and applicants with full Australian working rights will be considered. A thorough background check will be conducted including reference checks and validation of employment; proof of the right to work in Australia; proof of qualifications; police clearances; and ID checks. It may be the requirement of the venue where you teach to check that you have a vaccination record so you would need to provide evidence of this to facilitate the training. If you are going to deliver the training in the aged care sector you may be asked for evidence of a 2021 Influenza vaccination and both doses of the COVID19 vaccination.
Applicants must have the following:
- AHPRA registration
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Registered Nurse or higher-level qualification
- minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience
- computer literacy
- recent classroom teaching experience
- highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work autonomously as well as be a team player
- full unconditional driving licence
- reliable vehicle
- police clearance
- DCSI clearance (child, disablility and aged care)
- First aid and CPR certificate
- Certificates of COVID -19 vaccination (three doses)
